Notes of white peach, orange marmalade, citrus oils and white currants are obvious, intermixed with fresh azelnut and mineral notes of crushed stone. Full-bodied, the mouthfeel has a rich and creamy texture with beautiful zest and a lingering finish on liquid minerals and pain grillé. This wine shows great complexity and should cellar very well for a decade.

The Rodde Napa property is in the Coombsville sppelation and includes a pre prohibition vineyard. Beginning in 2005 a small portion of the old vineyard was brought back to life with 2700 vines planted using 3 foot by 3 foot spacing. 100% field selection Montrachet clones are planted on 101-14 rootstock to bring the best available Burgundy vineyard linage to Napa. The vineyard is at the base of Mt. George (at the 350 foot elevation) and benefits from the cooling air flow off the mountain each night. Vineyard management is carried out the highest standards. Winemaker Luc Morlet believes he has an exciting profile of flavors and fragrances that our team hope will make your wine drinking experience a pleasure.
